Knowledge and experience set Kellie apart in this very competitive industry - and having worked for Glen Loddon Homes for more than 10 years, this experience is quite substantial.

An integral part of the Glen Loddon team, Kellie is your initial contact within the company, helping clients with every step of the building process from discussing your lifestyle needs to handing over the keys.

This is often a challenging and emotional journey, but Kellie is always there with a stack of helpful advice to help you achieve your dream home.

"The majority of people know what they want in their new home, but my role is to guide them through and help them with aspects they may not have considered."

This, along with helping clients demonstrate what living spaces, bedrooms and other important features they want in their home, helps immensely with the next stage of the building process, discussing specific inclusions to provide a detailed quotation.

Kellie’s painting and decorating background is also complementary to guiding clients through the décor decisions, and her excellent communication and liaison skills smooth the process with local authorities.

"It is also important for people to realise what is achievable and depending on how long they intend to live in the house to avoid the possibility of overcapitalising."

Another consideration people often forget is accessibility and their ongoing and changing needs.

"We can incorporate elements into a home that cater for their current accessibility needs as well as any possible changes in lifestyle they may face in the future.

"A wider hallway or bigger shower incorporated into the initial design now, rather than having to add it down the track could make the world of difference – financially and for a better quality of life," says Kellie.

Kellie’s commitment to her clients over the past decade has meant that many of them have build with Glen Loddon Homes on more than one occasion.

Kellie’s top tips for people considering building:

1. Talk to your prospective builder prior to purchasing your block.
2. Have a considered budget and discuss this with your builder.
3. Get your builder to explain the building process step by step.
4. It is advisable to choose a local builder who is aware of regulations that affect your chosen location.
5. Go for an individual design so it will be your home.
