Penny Shearman

Administration Manager

Penny is the newest member of the Glen Loddon team and she definitely comes with a wealth of experience in the building industry.

Originally from the United Kingdom, Penny settled in Bendigo with her family about seven years ago.

Having worked in the building industry for those seven years, Penny brings with her plenty of experience and knowledge from the sales and marketing side of the business through to obtaining permits and helping the sales and estimating teams with quotes.

"Working in a team environment, such as the one at Glen Loddon, is great. It is very enjoyable to be able to help clients with all the different aspects of the building process."

"My background is quite varied but it has mostly involved helping clients to achieve a great build or outcome."

Penny is mainly involved with compiling contracts and finalising building specifications and she is the main support assisting the sales team.

"The main advantage of working at Glen Loddon is that every one of its houses is different – the variety of the architecture means that the homes are a lot more personal."

"And if clients have something in mind, the team will go that extra mile to achieve this and deliver."

One of the reasons Penny chose to work at Glen Loddon was the strong team environment, as well as the wealth of knowledge every person who works here brings.

Penny has a few words of advice for people building:

• Identify an area you like and then look for a block there.
• Do a bullet-point list of what you want in a house and make sure you do your research. It is not just about price but also quality. Remember boutique and specialist builders offer a much more personal service
• Consider the new bushfire requirements and the areas that are affected – this can make a big difference.
• Make sure you have a realistic target of what you want to spend and what can be achieved for this value.
