Brendon Hillier heads the design team at Glen Loddon Homes. Having completed a Diploma in Building Design and Drafting in 2003 Brendon joined the team at Glen Loddon Homes in 2005.
Glen Loddon Homes encourages their prospective clients to think outside the square and get creative when designing their new home.
“It is not unusual to receive a hand drawn sketch from a client. All we require is basic information, how many bedrooms or living areas etc, then we can work with Brendon to create a design that is individual to the client’s needs and lifestyle”, says Kellie, New Home Consultant for Glen Loddon Homes.
Brendon then creates a detailed fl oor plan, elevations, site plan and 3D images for client perusal.
With the introduction of the new five star energy requirements, it is also a common request to show the positioning of the sun at various times of the day and year, to ensure optimum orientation.
Before passing the plans on to the estimating department for a detailed quotation, the sales consultant will discuss inclusions with the client and detail the information for the estimating team.
Once a client engages Glen Loddon to build their new home Brendon produces the set of preliminary plans showing floor plan, elevations, sections, electrical, site plan, footing/slab design and also a detailed joinery plan which gives clients the opportunity to stand’ in their kitchen and alter for example, pot drawer sizes/location, the sky is the limit!
Clients then have the opportunity to make any changes before proceeding to final plans. “We offer our clients the very latest in computer technology, enabling a very realistic view of their new home,” says Brendon.
